This just isn’t any old summer camp, this is a week full of farm-filled fun! Campers will help with farm chores - like gathering farm fresh eggs from the hen house and feeding and brushing all of the animals. There will be time to meet and play with all of your new barnyard buddies as we learn lots of neat facts about them. You will also have time to create some GREAT art. Each day will feature different animals in our art projects. We will create with paint, clay, mixed media, drawing and more, which equals loads of art and loads of fun. At the end of each day the campers will hop a hayride with popsicles.

The theme of this year’s CAC Summer Arts Camp is “Super Arts Camp.” Participants will create superhero themed art and theater projects while discovering the true superpowers of friendship, creativity, and learning that a CAC arts camp provides. Painting, drawing, sculpture, singing, dancing, and more will be explored under the guidance of experienced local teachers. This year’s Summer Arts Camp is a five-day camp taking place at Hunter Park from June 1 – 5 between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. |

In this storytelling-focused camp, campers will explore the lore, symbols, and creative traditions that shaped ancient Egyptian culture with historian Parker Hilley. They will learn about the essential role of scribes, experiment with early forms of visual storytelling, and discover how these enduring myths continue to shape the ways we interpret ancient Egypt today. Campers will learn to read hieroglyphs, make faux-papyrus paper, and create ink from natural materials. |
