The labyrinth is an ancient circular geometric pattern formed of intertwined spirals with a single path leading to the center. The path in is the same path out. A leading labyrinth researcher writes, “A walker leaving the labyrinth is not the same person who entered it, but has been born again into a new phase or level of existence.” In these challenging times, this walking meditation can provide solace, inspiration, and clarity. The labyrinth at the First Unitarian Church on Winton Road in Rochester is outdoors and freely accessible in daylight. Guidelines for walking the labyrinth and prompts for responding to the experience in writing will be sent in advance by email. In our workshop meeting we will share writing and process the experience as well as look toward more opportunities to write the labyrinth.
