*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 09/04/2023
Sometimes being slow, small or weak can have its advantages.
Discover some of the world's most often-overlooked species for an immersive exploration of how unique traits that may be considered disadvantages actually help these animals survive--and even thrive--in a world where their larger, stronger and faster neighbors are usually at the top of the food chain.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Explore the similarities and differences in species’ traits and how these attributes impact their survival strategy in order to answer common questions, including ‘How can slow and steady win the race?’ and ‘Does bigger always mean better?’ Meet a variety of live animals, including a two-toed sloth, boa constrictor, green iguana, hedgehog, bearded dragon and more.
