Summer Kids Dance & Acting Camps

This unique day camp experience is designed to help students enhance their creative abilities and become well round performers. Instruction is differentiated based on skill level, beginner to advance performers are welcome. Campers will be immersed in Dance and Theatre Programs that ends in a performance each week. Our camp features daily instruction in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet Technique and Theatre (including acting, scriptwriting and improv). Each week is themed and features a specialty dance genre such as Breakdance, Salsa or African and many more. Our highly trained instructors offer campers performance training that prepares them for auditions, stage, and films.

Extended Day is available 7:30am until 6pm Affordable Pricing ranging from $87-$159
Lunch /Snacks
Campers require a lunch and two snacks. We do not provide lunch however the kids are given an hour lunch break and 2 fifteen minute snack breaks. Please pack additional food for extended care.
Attire
We encourage parents to simply have the child in comfortable gym attire, loose fitting and sneakers. For the ballet/jazz classes if your child has the appropriate shoes for these classes please bring but it is NOT required for camp, they can go barefoot.
Camp Observation
Parents can observe during large group time from our viewing windows. Only teachers and staff are allowed in studios. We prefer that parents limited their viewing time, it can be a distraction for the children. There is a performance at the end of the week. Each Week parents will receive a handout with all of the details for the week and last day performance.

What is 2017 Dance 411 Summer Dance and Acting Camps?
Weekly Camps Run Monday – Friday May 30-Aug 1st! Sessions are daily from 9 am – 4 pm. Extended Care is available until 6 pm. Camp is designed to help students enhance their creative abilities and become well round performers. Instruction is differentiated based on skill level beginner to advance performers are welcome. What types of activities will be at the camp?
Campers will be immersed in Dance and Theatre Programs. Students will learn theatre, ballet, hip hop and jazz plus a few specialty classes like BREAKDANCING OR SALSA (varies from week to week). Students will also have acting, writing and set design to enhance their performance capabilities. At the end of the week, kids put on a performance for their friends and families. Will the children learn the same things each week?
Each camp week will have a different theme like “Me, myself and I “ “Welcome to Atlanta “ “Summer Fun ”. Campers will learn different performance techniques each week
Where is the camp held?
The camp will be held at Dance 411 Studio’s 475 Moreland Ave Atlanta GA 30316
What age children are able to participate?
Registrations are taken in two groups 5-8 and 9-13, and camps are broken into different groups based on volume of students in each age bracket.
When does camp begin?
Camp consists of 10 one-week sessions. The sessions run Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm Extended Care is available until 6pm. The start dates are May 30th – Aug 1st
How many teachers will be with the kids?
Our camper/ teacher ratio is 18:1. Camp groups sizes average 20 students with 2 instructors.
What is required of participants?
Participants are required to bring meals: lunch and 2 snacks (microwaves are not available). Campers should dress in comfortable gym clothes. Sneakers are preferred. Dance Clothes are not required. Students that have dance shoes and dance attire are welcome to wear them. Students will wear a Dance 411 T-shirt for performances. All campers will receive a 20% discount on t-shirts
