ARE YOU CRAVING SOME ANIMAL TIME BEFORE THE ZOO OPENS TO THE PUBLIC?
Join us to Rise and Dine with the Animals, where you can enjoy a catered breakfast by Proof of the Pudding while also enjoying an early morning view of the animals as they get ready to start their day.
Each program will include an educational component to learn more about the species, time with an Animal Care Professional to hear about the individuals in their care, a memorable takeaway connected to the featured animal, and Zoo admission to stay and enjoy the Zoo at the end of the program.
July 8: Elephants
August 5: Reptiles and Amphibians
*Check back for additional 2023 dates.
THEMES:
June 10: Gorillas
Bring your troop to join our gorilla troop for an interactive breakfast of fun facts, activities, and opportunities to learn more about how we care for this iconic species. From the Education Team, you’ll learn how similar gorillas are to us with information about the species, their conservation status, and our work to help save gorillas in the wild. You’ll see their habitat being prepared for the day, and the moment that they start off their morning by running out and investigating what the Animal Care Team has for them to find! The Animal Care Team will also share stories and information about the individuals in the troop. We hope you will not only fill your bellies, but also your brains and hearts when you start your day with us exploring gorillas.
July 8: Elephants
Join our Elephant Herd as they greet their day, watching as they explore their habitat for enrichment and surprises left by the Animal Care Team as you investigate biofacts, activities, and more. Learn from a Zoo Educator about the superior care of the elephants here at Zoo Atlanta and about an exciting partnership for the conservation of their counterparts in the wild in Africa. Follow up your breakfast with an opportunity to see how the elephants start their day, and meet and chat with one of our Elephant Care Team members.
August 5: Reptiles and Amphibians
Take your breakfast to the next level, surrounded by extremes in the animal kingdom. Dine in Georgia eXtremes, viewing the reptiles, amphibians and fish and exploring biofacts and activities. After you eat your breakfast, we’ll check in with the Aldabra tortoises and the Animal Care Team to see how they start their day!
