Juneteenth - William Root House Museum and Garden
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 06/15/2024
Join us as we commemorate Juneteenth, an annual celebration of the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans in the U.S. in June 1865. Visitors will learn about the history and significance of the holiday through guided museum tours, crafts, living history demonstrations, storytelling, a genealogy workshop, and more. We are pleased to offer free admission to this program thanks to generous support from the Georgia Humanities Council.
