How to Embed a Video on a KidsOutAndAbout.com Activity
Seven easy steps to embedding a video on KidsOutAndAbout (and the same principles apply for embedding elsewhere, too!)
1. When you’re logged in as an organization administrative user to KidsOutAndAbout, click here to add an activity (or just go ahead and edit an existing activity that you have already posted).
2. On your YouTube video that has been posted to the YouTube site, click on Share, and then Embed. Like this:
3. Copy the code in the iFrame to your clipboard (Control-C).
4. Go to the Long Description box in the form for your KidsOutAndAbout activity and look just underneath it for where it says “Disable Rich Text.” Click that.
5. Paste in those couple of lines you’ve just copied from the YouTube Embed text.
6. Click Enable Rich Text in the same place where you disabled it.
7. Hit Save at the bottom of the form. If you don’t see your video embedded on your listing, it means that I still have to give you permission to post Full HTML—just email me (Debra Ross, at ross@kidsoutandabout.com) the URL link to your activity, and I’ll take care of it, which will mean your video will be visible automatically, you don’t need to do anything else.
