Homeschool Day at Atlanta Botanical Garden - Atlanta

*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 04/01/2020
The Garden hosts an exciting day of tours and activities exclusively for homeschool groups and families on May 20, 2020. Supplement your life science, botanical and environmental studies curriculum by observing the diverse plants growing in the Fuqua Conservatory such as tropical conifers, breathtaking orchids, and bizarre succulents. Tip-toe through the treetops on the Canopy Walk and visit the Edible Garden to learn more about the plants we eat.

Fuqua Conservatory Tours
Drop-in Conservatory Tours take groups through the Tropical Rotunda and Desert House to explore how plants have adapted to those different climates.

Meet in the Conservatory Lobby at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Tours last approximately 30 minutes.

Meet the Experts
Join us in Mershon Hall for discovery stations led by staff and volunteers. Through these interactive stations, you’ll learn more about the amazing plants and animals living here at the Garden, including carnivorous plants, amphibians, pollinators, and edible plants. The stations will be hands-on and include live specimens when applicable.
