DiscoverU at KSU: Adulting 101

Students will spend a week learning skills that will help prepare them for what's next in your life as a young adult. This camp combines practical skills - how to apply to college and succeed once you get there, prepare for a job interview and explore different career paths, meal plan, plant a garden, develop a budget, learn basic first aid skills, community-building skills and so much more - with strategies to help smooth the transition to what comes after high school. This class promises exactly what its called, discovery. Discovering likes, dislikes, joy, strength, skills, and passion is all we want in life. Adulting 101 empowers DiscoverU students with the real-world skills every young adult needs to launch confidently into life after high school. This week-long immersive experience is a fast-paced, hands-on experience that will help students master the essentials: smart financial habits, career readiness, professional communication, interview practice, time management, setting meaningful goals, and navigating everyday responsibilities. Adulting 101 doesn’t just teach life skills – it builds confidence, independence, and a mindset geared toward success. Students leave prepared, empowered, and excited for the next chapter.
