Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do I need to bring

  • Athletic/comfy clothes. If wearing a skirt, please wear leggings underneath.
  • High ankle socks, which help prevent blisters
  • Water bottle
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Labeled bag with instructions for any medications
  • Sunscreen for Field Day on Thursday
  • Most campers use our rental shoes, harnesses, and chalk bags. However, we encourage campers to bring their own gear if they have any.
  • Face masks are optional.

2. What does a typical day look like

Each day features climbing, teaching, games, and eating breaks. Campers experience each kind of climbing while also learning basic climbing technique and how to belay. We also have special activities like tie-dye and Field Day.

3. What is your ratio of coaches to campers? How are kids split up during the day

We have 1 coach for every 5 campers. Each camp week is open to ages 6-14. However, coaches group campers by age, skill level, and size when appropriate. For example, all campers learn how to belay (the person who keeps the rope tight while someone climbs). Coaches pair kids of similar size so that someone lighter doesn't belay someone much heavier.

4. How does drop-off and pickup work? Do you offer before and after care

You'll see a coach outside to check you in starting at 8:30am. Please do not arrive before 8:30am. Coach will not be available to watch campers until then.

Pickup starts at 4pm. A coach will be outside the front entrance to radio for your camper to come down. You're welcome to pick up your camper before 4pm. Just let the front desk know, and we'll bring your camper to the front.

5. How do I register? Do you offer any discounts

Click the registration button for whichever location you want. You can also register over the phone or in person at the front desk. Your full balance is due when you register. You'll get a confirmation email once registration is complete and a reminder email the Sunday before the first day of camp.

Unfortunately, we do not offer any discounts.

6. Can I transfer or cancel my registration

Payment is non-refundable. Payment is transferable to a different camp week with 5 or more days notice, provided space is available. 50% of payment is transferable to a different camp week with 2-4 days notice, provided space is available. Entire payment is forfeited without at least 24-hours notice.

7. My child has special needs. Can they attend camp

All kids are welcome. Let us know how we can create the best possible experience for your camper. We're happy to accommodate anyone who experiences learning difficulties or challenges in group settings.

8. What if my camper misses a day

Unfortunately, campers cannot make up for missed days. However, we can issue a full or partial refund in the event of an injury or emergency.

9. What if my camper gets injured

Climbing is an inherently dangerous activity. However, we're confident in how we mitigate risk of injury. Most injuries require just a bandage or ice pack. However, we'll immediately call you in the event of an injury that requires more attention.
