VIRTUAL EVENT: Learning to Identify Mushrooms (Online) at 6pm Pacific from Stanley Park Ecology Society

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 06/18/2020
In this webinar with fungus enthusiast Willoughby Arevalo, you will learn the principles of mushroom identification based on features visible to the naked eye. This program will help you develop your field ID skills to be able to recognize most mushrooms to form group, and learn skills to work towards quickly recognizing important genera and species.

Knowing the basics of fungal biology and ecology will help you learn where and when to look. Learn how to collect specimens for ID and how to harvest honourably and safely. Connect with local, print and online resources for further study. Special attention will be given to some of our most common edible, medicinal and toxic species.

*Tickets must be purchased in advance. Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale - you choose what you pay! Your contributions help us bring you more online programs like this one!

**Only one ticket required per household.

***If this event fills to capacity, members of Stanley Park Ecology Society will be given first priority to any tickets that open up due to cancellations.
