Summer Camp at the CARLOS - Adinkra, Kuba, Ndop: African Textiles

Campers will explore the diverse traditional techniques and contemporary innovations of textile production from across sub-Saharan Africa: Adinkra-stamped cloth from the Ashanti of Ghana, Kuba cloth from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ndop cloth from the Bamileke of Cameroon, and more. Children will use indigo and red clay, cotton and raffia, wax and wood block stamps to create their own textiles with artist Paula Vester.

Drop-off is between 8:45-9 AM. Pickup is between 4-5 PM.

Fee: $215 per week for Carlos Museum members; $255 per week for nonmembers. Families registering siblings are eligible for a 10% discount.
