Campers escape the cold with Fernbank! Campers, ages 5-10, will travel back in time to explore the coldest regions of the earth alongside Fernbank educators. Campers will play games, create crafts, and learn with exciting, hands-on activities.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Camps include games, activities, and crafts centered around the theme of each day:

  • Arctic Animals: How do polar bears survive the frigid cold? How far can a puffin fly? Campers will explore all the incredible adaptations these animals have.
  • Nordic People: Campers discover the life of Vikings through games, activities, and the Vikings: Warriors of the Sea exhibit.
  • Winter Celebrations: Winter is a season full of celebrations all over the world.  Campers will take a look at them through crafts and games, and the Winter Wonderland exhibit.
