Students focus on limited prep events (impromptu, extemp speaking, extemp debate, and SPontaneous ARgument) and learn how to prepare speeches in limited amounts of time. Coaches review the use of humor, personal anecdotes, historical perspectives, news stories, and logic that help formulate a speaker's ideas when preparing different types of speeches. Students are expected to follow current events, navigate the internet, and read expository articles.
*Prerequisite: Students enrolling in this class must have taken at least 1 semester of Art of Public Speaking or completed advanced Little Orator classes.
