Week 1 6/5-6/9 - Clay Works
Build your understanding of proportions while exploring an exciting new material. Learn how to sculpt figures, abstract works and one-of-a-kind functional ceramics over the course of the week.
Week 2 6/12-6/16 - Colors & Symbols
Expand your knowledge of color theory and hue while you explore the power of the symbol through painting, drawing, and collaging projects. Gaining inspiration by artists such as Henri Matisse and Yayoi Kusama.
Week 3 6/20-6/23 - Exploring Public Art (4 Day Week)
Have you seen the painted utility boxes around the city? Learn about the important role that public art plays in Atlanta. Try your hand at creating large-scale works that convey meaningful messages while creating works inspired by artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, and Greg Mike.
Week 4 6/26-6/30 - Pop Art & Comics
Create your own comic and pop art pieces while learning the importance of contrast. Get inspired by the works of artists Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jack Kirby.
Week 5 7/10-7/14 - Clay Works II
Explore and build your understanding of proportions while learning about an exciting new material as you sculpt figures and create one-of-a-kind functional ceramic pieces over the course of a week.
Week 6 7/17-7/21 - Identity In Material
Explore your own unique artistic identity through self-portraits and collages while learning the importance of value. Getting inspired by artists such as Frida Kahlo, Kehinde Wiley, and Pablo Picasso.
Week 7 7/24-7/28 - Surrealism
Discover the fascinating paintings and collages of surrealism while building your composition skills. Draw on inspiration from artists such as Salvador Dali, René Magritte, and Yves Tanguy.
Week 8 7/31-8/4 - Abstract
Learn the art of creating images that are visually balanced while looking at the works of Jackson Pollock, Piet Mondrian, and Wassily Kandinsky. Create incredible abstract works that WOW!
