Turtles, birds and pandas are not as different as you may think! They, along with all other animals, share the same basic needs. Join us as we travel around the world visiting various animals in the Zoo while learning about their needs to succeed.
Disgusting diets, secreting skin, and the scoop on poop! Join us as we explore the biology and purpose of different animals and their behaviors – behaviors we may consider “gross,” but which are actually important to their survival. Learn how these appalling attributes help animals fulfill their roles in the ecosystem.
Where did the idea for a unicorn originate? What's the difference between a dragon and a Komodo dragon? Join us as we make observations and investigate Zoo animals to compare and contrast living creatures and creatures that capture our imaginations.
Have you ever seen a creature from a science fiction movie and thought it looked a bit like a real animal? Join us as we dive deeper into some iconic film creatures and figure out their origins. What can we learn about these “fake” animals? Could these creatures realistically survive in the ecosystem in which they were scripted?
