Heritage Kids Summer Camp! (2020 CANCELLED)

Our newly revamped STEAM based summer camp, perfect for boys and girls ages 5-11 who are interested in nature, history, and the arts! Crafts, outdoor activities, and a Friday pizza pool party! Proudly presented by Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park and Goldfish Swim School.

Our new Heritage Kids Summer Day Camp is debuting this summer, 2020!
Our revamped STEAM based summer camp is perfect for boys and girls ages
5 to 11 who are interested in nature, history and the arts! Through games,
historic simulations, special guests, crafts, hands-on activities, and outdoor
adventures, campers will explore nature and gardening, local and Georgia
history, and a variety of artistic media.

Heritage Kids Summer Camp is Monday - Friday.

Camp is held
Monday - Thursday at Heritage Sandy
Springs Museum and Park from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

On Fridays, camp is
held at Goldfish Swim School from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Choose between three camp sessions in June and July. Early drop off and late pick up options are available M- Th. Each week of camp costs
$300 per participant, per week and includes a daily snack, camp T- shirt, and Friday pizza pool party at Goldfish Swim
School! Space is limited, so register early at heritagesandysprings.org or email education@heritagesandysprings.org.

Eco Explorers! June 8-12
In our Eco Explorers week, campers will explore the agricultural history of Sandy
Springs through outdoor activities, and hands- on gardening. Campers will be
able to get their hands dirty as they experience horticulture, learn about local
ecosystems, discover how the PH of soil affects plant growth, make terrariums,
craft bird- feeders, and more!

Pioneers of the Past! June 22- 26
In our Pioneers of the Past week, campers will learn all about various
aspects of local and Georgia history through games, crafts, projects
and performances. Learn how to write your name using the Cherokee
alphabet, create red Georgia clay pinch pots, explore pioneer life by
making your own hardtack and dipping your own candles, pan for
gold like a prospector, and even build your own railroad!

Art Adventures! July 13-17
Discover Sandy Springs’ rich artistic tradition through a variety of
media in our Art Adventures week. Campers will investigate local
folk artists like Moses Robinson, practice plein air painting, learn
how to make sculptures out of recycled materials, and create new
works of art using chalk and tie dye. Campers will also explore
the performing arts through theatre, music and dance.
