Keep your kids engaged and learning this Summer with Discovery Camps in A Box from the John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science! Discovery Camps in A Box is a series of health-themed boxes that have been designed to keep children engaged in STEM activities while learning about medical science and the human body. Through hands-on learning and experimentation, campers learn about science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and intuitive way. Kids ages 8-13 will have intelligent fun, make new “virtual” friends, and make the most out of their summer break!
With these from-home camps, our skilled educators deliver lessons virtually and are available live to help provide targeted guidance and assistance to students as they work through awesome activities and projects. Best of all, students get the chance to socialize with other like-minded kids and feel connected to a community!
For ages 8-10, Camp Neuron will invite campers to examine the anatomy of the brain and engage in a sheep brain dissection, among other activities. For ages 8-13, Mini Medical School – Neuroanatomy will immerse campers into the world of neuroscience while Mini Medical School – Cardiac will encourage campers to explore the anatomy of the circulatory system and how this amazing circuit keeps our bodies going. Learn more at thehealthmuseum.org/summercamps.
