Hairspray at Lawrenceville Arts Center
Set in 1962 Baltimore, the story follows Tracy Turnblad, a lovable plus-size teen with one passion: to dance on the popular “Corny Collins Show.” When her dream becomes a reality, Tracy’s life changes overnight as she transforms from an outsider to a star. But her journey doesn’t stop there—armed with her newfound fame, Tracy sets out to challenge the status quo, unseat the reigning Teen Queen, capture the heart of heartthrob Link Larkin, and help integrate a segregated TV network, all while keeping her iconic hairdo intact!
