If you’ve visited a museum, what you saw was only a small part of all the things the museum takes care of. This Friday we celebrate International Museum Day (which was May 18) by taking a tour into the Easton Collection Center to learn how objects and art are preserved, why objects are frozen before they are stored, how light can damage objects. See how special containers are built to safely store fragile objects and learn how to start & display your own collection

Museum of Northern Arizona educator Mari Soliday presents a short education program for kids on the MNA Facebook page, including an activity to try at home. If you watch it live, you can ask questions in the comments. Past programs can be found in the video section of the MNA Facebook page or on the MNA YouTube channel.
