Anyaugo, a young Nigerian girl, is woken up by a giant chicken! In her kitchen! Children will learn about Igbo masquerades in this beautifully illustrated book by Nigerian-American author Nnedi Okorafor, and in the galleries, learn about two Yoruba masquerades, called Egungun, and a contemporary Egungun by Atlanta artist Dr. Fahamu Pecou. After the story, children will head to the studio to make their own chicken masquerade puppet.
