Artful Stories at the Museum - Whale Snow
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 01/20/2018
“Whale snow comes when a whale has given itself to the People.” For Amiqqaq, an Iñupiat boy, and his village, the bowhead whale gives light, food, warmth, and even shelter. After hearing Debby Dahl Edwardson’s beautiful story, Whale Snow, children will take a closer look at an Iñupiat basket made from whale baleen and then head to the studio to make "Eskimo donuts" and create a mural of snowflakes. For ages 3-5 with accompanying adult.
