Roswell Cycling Festival

Streets are traditionally filled with cars and trucks, allowing for restricted movement between destinations. What if these wide, flat spaces could be turned into zones for unrestricted movement, allowing access for biking, walking, or even dancing? Bike Roswell! and the City of Roswell will launch the first “open streets” program in the city on Sunday, April 29 with the Roswell Moves! event. This innovative experience encourages people to explore the community by walking, pedaling, rolling, and even playing. While some vendors will be permitted in this area, attendees are encouraged to experience and savor the offerings provided by local merchants in this corridor. Live music presented by Atlanta Plays It Forward will be located at two stages along Canton Street near Highway 9 and on North Canton near Woodstock Road.

Play the Play with Cat the Cat

Based on Mo Willems’s beloved CAT the CAT series, this play explores the often terrifying experience of making a new friend. Using the rhyming and simple language of the books, this theatrical experience will invite our young audience to identify Cat the Cat’s parade of animal friends, mimic their animal sounds, and even learn a new language! When Cat the Cat meets a newcomer on the scene, the audience shares in the nerves and the joy of the experience, and ultimately makes a room full of new friends themselves. Back by popular demand, come play the play with Cat the Cat!
